I cannot believe you had to pay (even if a small fee!!) to have the villager&#039;s pictures taken! I wonder if they had demanded the money or if you had approached them offering money. Foreigners and getting the pictures taken are a novelty in India. I suggest you never offer money to get anything Done in India. If they ask money, you bargain! 

And i am sorry you had bad experiences in India due to the stupidity of some Indians! 

I hope that you do visit Kerala and Karnataka sometime.

Also bandwidth is also a prized possession in India.. And i can understand the hotel Dude banning you from using the Internet.. 4GB is insane in this part of the World!
