Thailand – Part Two

Bangkok
After a very long bus journey from the Laos border we arrived in Bangkok at 4am, this city being possibly the only place you can arrive that late and see other backpackers wandering around trying to find somewhere to sleep!
We only came back here to do a few odd jobs, namely getting the laptop fixed (the screen was broken and the fan made horrible noises – god bless warranties!) and shop… The laptop part was easy as there was an Acer service centre (how lucky are we?!), and the shopping, well, I wouldn’t say it was easy but it was definitely worthwhile – Jon’s t-shirt collection increased by 30 items for around £50, not bad at all! Plus it is easier getting to Koh Chang, our next destination, from here.
Koh Chang
Knowing that we would be sitting on a beach for a month in December, we figured the best thing to do here was to also sit on a beach! We picked a guesthouse that was completely isolated and quiet and sat getting a tan for a week – that’s really all we did, no excursions, no waterfalls, no photographs and no boat rides, just the tan! Very relaxing…
We did move to the busier side of the island for a couple of days to get our gear sorted out before we headed back to Sihanoukville, Cambodia.
